Brandon Elite Volleyball is proud to be starting the campaign Serve Love, Dig Pink! This campaign through and for Dig Pink ® looks to support metastatic breast cancer research and treatments. It will include the participation of everyone at Brandon Elite Volleyball Association! Brandon Elite is committed to serving our community. This will be done through numerous individual team fundraisers as well as full club events. Our goal is to have every player involved in learning, helping to spread awareness, and working together to support this important cause that affects so many of our family and friends. This will be a great way for our players to be a part of something important and meaningful; something bigger than volleyball.
Dig Pink is a program through the Side-Out Foundation that raises funds for metastatic breast cancer research and treatments through volleyball events, games, and experiences.
Some players may recognize Dig Pink from various volleyball events such as AAU Junior Nationals! We are so honored to be able to join and support this worthy cause.
“In volleyball, “side-out” means regaining control of the ball.
Similarly, The Side-Out Foundation helps people with breast cancer regain control of their lives – and we started our fundraising efforts through the sport of volleyball. Our Executive Director and Founder, Rick Dunetz, was a high school volleyball coach when his mother, Gloria, was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. Together he and his father Bryant decided to tell her story, and the story of all those with metastatic breast cancer, through dedicated volleyball matches across the U.S., where communities would rally and fundraise to support breast cancer research. This is how Dig Pink was born.”
